    - Keeping a member is actually cheaper

    exactly how to keep students.
    (light acoustic music)
A lot of people ask, how do I get more students?
How do I get more signups?
How do we get more members from my martial art
    or my fitness business?
A lot of people don't ask me,
how do I keep more students?
Keeping a member is actually cheaper
and more cost-effective than trying to find new ones.
And I'm gonna show you in this video
    exactly how to keep students.
This has worked incredible for us.
Testimonials come from doing this simple exercise.
    It's cost-effective, it's easy to do,
and it utilizes very simple cards.
And I'm gonna show you exactly how to do it, right now.
    Come here.
Okay. So this is how we do this.
    It's really simple.
So what I suggest is do five of these a day.
If you do five of these a day,
    you will see incredible results
from just using these simple student retention cards.
Make sure that you're using a Sharpie Ultra-fine.
I find this to be the best.
The backs of the cards are not gloss-coated,
but still, if you use a pen they will smudge over time.
We have a bunch of different cards.
The thank you card is great to use
for somebody who just signed up
and you wanna just thank them for being a member.
We miss you cards are great for what?
Well, somebody doesn't show up for awhile.
    If somebody has canceled
and you wanna try to get them back,
these were great to reinvigorate the people
    who left during COVID,
    contacting old students,
or people who haven't shown up for a while,
you wanna just give them a note and send them something
to show that they're still on your mind.
Now other types of cards like congratulations.
    For instance, a belt promotion.
You wanna congratulate them for a job well done
    or you see their progress,
    very simple, very easy,
    very cost-effective, and extremely powerful.
This is how we do it.
    I go, "To Chris.
    Thanks."
Create two or three simple sentences thanking them
and offer some kind words of positivity.
    Sign off.
I put the address, maybe a little note here,
    and the return address here.
    It's that simple.
    That's it.
You put a stamp on it,
you throw it in the mail,
    and it's good to go.
    They're just a powerful tool,
and especially in the virtual world
    where everybody's connected online,
this is a really good way to get something
    in somebody's mailbox,
to get them to feel something.
They can smell the smell of ink and paper.
    People still love that.
    People still love tangible things.
Let me just make one suggestion.
    Don't sell them these.
    These are not for selling.
Don't put an offer, don't pitch anything,
    just goodwill marketing.
    That's it.
Hey, we've been thinking about you.
We wanna reach out and tell you
that we've been thinking about you.
    That's it.
Grab these cards, fill them out,
    send them to your customers.
They will love you for it.
They will probably post it online,
they will tag you in it.
It is goodwill marketing that touches people's hearts.
Very easy to use, very cost-effective,
and you can find them only at dojomuscle.com.
    I'll speak to you soon.
