Everything about this story and scenario is going to be unusual.
So I want you to know I made such a noob error.
We booked our flights on Virgin Atlantic and between running 4 business, 6 projects at the same time and 3 travel trips in the last month and a half I slipped.
I slip up like everyone else.
So in procrastinating to pack last minute, and procrastinating to set up my travel schedule last minute I overlooked a huge huge thing that smacked ups in the face.
It all started when normally I thought we were flying out of Newark. Come to find out after check in - no it’s JFK…
But that’s not the real bomb of a left hook.
Ready for this.
Virgin Atlantic books in military time.
Here I am traveling down the Belt Parkway at 4pm in rush hour traffic with PLENTY of time on the dial to go. After all our plane ride isn’t till 8pm…..
When I get to the gate the lady says um sir. You missed your flight. I said what wait how? She looked at me and said this was 8 AM not PM.
OMG….. So after a reschedule flight and missing a full day on our trip we have arrived plundered and beat up but in tact.
And my lesson is NEVER PROCRASTINATE. Never hesitate.
I am usually a master of packing early, and quadruple checking everything. Not waiting and being ahead of the ball. But this time I got a little lazy and it bit me.
The lesson is the same for all of our business. We all do it.
And all run the risk of leaving tons of money on the table every season. Every week really.
Right now is the start of back to school and I am still getting tons of sales and emails about doing something for it.
Hard truth: that should have been done a month ago.
But just like not packing we all get caught up in the minutia of life.
SO I am doing something I have never done before.
Because we all sometimes need a 2nd or 3rd chance to make it right.

With the accessibility of the internet at an all-time high, the digital era ...
In this post, I will go over where I think trends are going for Martial Arts Marketing - and Gym Marketing for the remainder of 2023 and into 2024.
Seasons come in, and seasons go out. And if the last few years taught us anything - everything can - and probably will change.
As a fitness or martial arts instructor or as a gym or dojo owner, maintaining a solid connection with your students is essential for ensuring the success and growth of your classes.
One effective method of fostering these relationships is student retention cards and handwritten notes.
